Both of us have seen the West End production of Les Miserables numerous times and decided our students were ready to tackle the demanding score. Mat McPherson played an incredible Jean ValJean with an equally incredible performance of Javert by James Loyld. But it isnt just the leads that help create a successful show, being blessed with such talented students at AGF, ensures the 'ensemble' are never in the background, but the core to another outstanding performance. Other roles were performed by former AGF students Sian Welby, Harriet Ryder, Ben Astle, Oli Towse, Daisy Fairclough to name but a few.

The performance took place at the Newark Palace Theatre.

In 19th-century France, Jean Valjean, who for decades has been hunted by the ruthless policeman Javert after breaking parole, agrees to care for a factory worker's daughter. The decision changes their lives for ever.
